I will promote a sports environment that is free from drugs, tobacco and alcohol and foul language and will refrain from their use at ALL times while umpiring on any ball field. I will NOT use profanity before, during or after any ball game, in the presence of others.

I will uphold the honor and dignity of umpiring by encouraging good sportsmanship, demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, tournament directors and fellow officials at every game.

I will remember that the game is for the players – NOT the adults, coaches or officials.

I will do my best to make sure that my game is a FUN and POSITIVE experience.

I understand that any equipment I owe for will be deducted from my first check.

I will communicate my concerns to North Metro Umpire Association about coaches, fans or players, Including any game ejections immediately following a game.

I will know the rules of the game and the mechanics necessary to enforce the rules, and will use my authority in an impartial, FIRM and controlled manner at ALL times.

I will wear the proper equipment and league uniform at ALL games. ALL traveling games, I MUST wear the "Blue Shirt, & Gray Pants" Non Traveling you MUST wear the Blue Shirt. If you do NOT dress properly you will NOT be paid for that game.

I will arrive at ALL games 15 to 30 minutes prior to EVERY game and act professional at ALL times. If I am late I Understand that I will be paid half price for the game and if I don’t show for a game I also understand I will be charged for one full game I have already worked. Twice in a season I will be dismissed.

I understand that I must turn in my umpire journal at the end of each month to get paid. If a game is disputed I must provide a signed game slip as proof of being at the game. I also understand I will forfeit my money if NOT claimed by September 1^st of the season.
