There are some really good laptops on the market, however I would stay away from Extreme Notebooks.  When my son went to Iraq, I bought an Extreme Notebook.  When it came, I was excited and sent it too him.  Right from the start it began locking up, so I tried to contact the support staff at Extreme Notebooks.  I soon found out that they are BIG on sales but not too helpful with service or support.  I asked if I could send it in for warranty when he got back serving our country in Iraq and they said it would then be out of warranty.  We didn't have a choice because the Army had him pack up all his stuff that isn't need each day and we didn't get it from the Army till he was home for two months.  NOT TOO SUPPORTIVE!

I then sent it to Extreme Notebooks and they charged me over $700.00 for a new video card and CD ROM  When  I got it back, guess what?  It began locking up again so I sent it back too them and after having it for almost two weeks they sent it back and yep, it began locking up again.  At this point I had to make a lot of noise to get it fixed so they replace almost everything and it then worked.  6 months later the screen quit so I sent it in again and they wanted $900.00 to fix it.  I asked if they didn't have a used or cheaper one and they did so I asked them to install it $465.00.  Two more weeks go by and I had to finally call and they said it was shipped on October 3rd and gave me a tracking number from FedEx.  After another week, FedEx said they never got into their system.  Once again I called Extreme Notebooks and they said I had to wait till the end of the month so FedEx can track it down.  I asked how much did they put on the laptop for insurance and they said $1,4000.00 not the $3,300.00 I paid.   I was told finally at the end of October that the laptop was lost.  I said at this point all I want is my money back and move on.  Last Friday the 1st of November I got a new laptop from Extreme Notebooks and guess what?   No Power Cord, No Software Key and yep you guessed it, it locked up so I sent it back and said I only want my money!!

I then sent them an email stating that I would post this warning on my web site so others do NOT fall into their trap.   As a side note, I have since bought an Alienware gaming computer and it does NOT lock up and worked right out of the box.

Still waiting for some type of refund but may have to use small claims or the California Attorney Generals office along with the better business bureau.   They are NOT responding and I am out over $3,000.00 and NO PRODUCT!

At present Extreme Notebooks has had the laptop more than we have
